When we went out and came back... our key wasn’t working. After playing with the door, realized it was broken so it hadn’t even been closed all the way.
Needless to say we’ll never be back.
I was in the area for a friends wedding and the area doesn’t have a lot of options. The reviews were pretty decent, but I wasn’t expecting high end. I guess I didn’t lower my expectations enough.
The sink, which isnt in the bathroom where you could shut a door, wouldn’t turn off so it ran the whole time. The “fitted” sheet wasn’t fitted, but just a flat sheet tucked in. Every time u moved or rolled over, the sheets were off the bed. There was blood on one of the folded “clean” towels.
Also, don’t plan on getting any sleep. At the crack of dawn, the maids start cleaning and are in and out of the rooms non stop with the doors slamming so hard that it shakes the building.
Miserable night..no clerk on duty after 11. Could not get ice. Door locked.Sounds of heavy walking and furniture movi ng, around all night. Not our 1st time there.No coffee in lobby. Too expensive for bare necessities. Bed fell apart. Terrible tv. Will not return.

Security locks inside doors broken. Windows filthy, floors dirty, pillow under bed. Outside door unlocked 24/7. Advertised breakfast but cook was out of town during peak season. Skip it.
When we arrived I asked about continental breakfast. They did not have this even though it is on there web site. Rooms were clean but OLD!! Beds are very old. You can feel the springs under you. Walls are paper thin and you can hear "everything". Very noisy. They get away with this condition because of proximity to lake. PLEASE SPEND SOME MONEY ON REFURBISHING THIS PLACE. SOME ONE IS GETTING FILTHY RICH OFF THIS PLACE. WE WILL NOT RETURN!!!
My 2-night motel experience at Lake Inn was close to the worst of my life, and that’s saying something. I moved furniture in room to barricade my room door due to an ill-conceived locking mechanism... burnt out light bulbs... broken bed, dresser, and window blinds... front desk staffed for limited daytime hours... advertised complimentary breakfast that wasn’t actually made available. When I booked, I knew it was no Hilton (and not even a Travelodge), but it was truly a disappointment in the end. Will definitely NOT re-book when next in the area.
